At Go With Khaya, we have built long-term partnerships with community and conservation projects in South Africa and Tanzania since 2005. Rather than offering third-party placements, we develop many programs ourselves or collaborate closely with trusted local organisations.
Through this direct involvement, we understand each project deeply and match volunteers carefully to placements where they can contribute responsibly and meaningfully.
We design structured group travel, school trips and educational programs in South Africa and Tanzania for schools, universities and organised groups. Each program combines cultural immersion, conservation activities and community engagement.

I really appreciated learning about life in the townships and seeing different perspectives firsthand. Working with the children was both meaningful and fun, and I especially enjoyed visiting Addo, sharing meals together, and experiencing the incredible wildlife.

Feeding the penguins was definitely the highlight of my stay! I never expected daily routines to be so much fun — all thanks to these adorable (and sometimes cheeky) penguins. They may bite occasionally, but it’s easy to forgive them. The support from Go With Khaya was excellent, from the booking process through to the service provided while in Port Elizabeth.

I spent an amazing month volunteering at SANCCOB Port Elizabeth working with African penguins. I learned so much about conservation and animal care while improving my English every day. The SANCCOB team was incredibly supportive, and I felt warmly welcomed from the start. I quickly connected with the other volunteers, which made the experience even more rewarding. It was truly an unforgettable adventure that I would highly recommend.

I spent two weeks volunteering at Bambelela in June–July 2022, and it was an amazing experience. The people there were incredibly kind, and we had plenty of time working with the monkeys. The daily tasks were simple but truly helpful for their care and wellbeing. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I will always remember my beautiful monkeys there! 🐒💖🐒💖
