At Go With Khaya, our Conservation & Wildlife volunteering in Africa programs are driven by a passion for the natural world and a commitment to its survival. We believe that true conservation requires a hands-on approach—from the thick of the African bush to the depths of the ocean. Consequently, by joining these projects, you become a vital part of a team dedicated to habitat restoration, anti-poaching efforts, and the rehabilitation of orphaned animals.

Additionally, whether you are tracking the Big Five in a South African reserve or protecting endangered primates, your work provides the essential data needed to keep these ecosystems thriving. Furthermore, this Conservation & Wildlife volunteering in Africa is more than a safari; it is an immersive journey where you gain a deep understanding of the delicate balance between wildlife and the humans who share their land.

Highlights:

Work alongside experienced rangers to track and record the behavior of lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo to support long-term research.
Assist with the daily care and release of orphaned or injured animals at dedicated centers for vervet monkeys, big cats, or marine birds
Get your hands dirty with essential reserve maintenance, including alien plant control, fence patrols, and waterhole management to ensure a healthy environment.
Experience wildlife in their natural habitats through sustainable programs that prioritize animal welfare and ecological integrity over commercial tourism.

Kisampa Wildlife Conservation

Live in Tanzania’s remote wilderness. Work with wildlife, support conservation, and experience true bush adventure beyond the tourist trail.

Siyafunda Wildlife & Conservation

Volunteer in South Africa, live in the bush and work with wildlife at a Big Five nature reserve bordering Kruger Park.

Lion and Big Cat Sanctuary

Volunteer at an ethical lion sanctuary in South Africa supporting rescued big cats and wildlife conservation in the Western Cape.

Vervet Monkey Rescue

Volunteer and assist with the rehabilitation of orphaned and injured Vervet monkeys and baboons in the beautiful in South Africa.

Penguin Conservation & Rescue
